Why Blog?…Why Write?
September 26, 2007 · 3 Comments
Why do you blog/write?
I want to know…hell, your readers just might want to know too.
It may be some sort of method of vanity-laced mental entree into what is “you”…or you, quite simply, just may want to show me/us that you are smarter and know more than the rest of us.
I submit that the former is true…
I like the recruiting animal and his show…he brings OTHERS into the fold. He shows what you are missing out on by NOT knowing the people and characters he has as guests on his show.
Most blogs are self serving…with the author tyring to “one-up” the other. This is Bullshit. Blogging in the recruit-o-sack should be about community. It should be about the promotion of one another…for good or ill…
And for that I have an honor roll—I keep it deep inside…like santa checking it once, checking it twice, who in the recruitosphere is naughty or nice…Workfarce is definately coming to YOUR town.
AmiG likes to pontificate, JayD likes to be buddies, theChad likes to “tell it like he sees it”, Cheezhead likes to *ahem* report on anyting except himself…and as for me, shit, I’m just a humble man pointing out your faults while trying to deal with my own…no matter, I hope the whole crap-bag changes for the better.
I LOVE YOU,
WorkFarce

Many People have Wondered…
September 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment
I have received many calls asking me why I have an obsession with interior design, as well as architecture…and furthermore, whiskey and wine…I will add more to the former later. However many of you may have noticed that at the top of the WorkFarce page there is a sweeping line of windows and banking glass.
Quite simply I LOVE good architecture and I KNOW it can make people feel good. Just as a good recruiter or a good website, architecture can actually take you places…as well as, your clients.
BUILD SOMETHING GOOD. Please keep in mind that it is not YOU/COMPANY who needs to be introduced, but rather the USER/JOBSEEKER/Tenant and even more importnatly the VISITOR.
Most JobBoards should have usability consultants on hand. Usabilitiy is the paramount of ANY good job board…lending to the user experience is the MOST important thing…period. Most money short-cutting grubbing sots don’t understand this…and I have even been vicitim in the past…your marketing and user base should take the lead in design…or maybe just as an alagory take a lead from this fellow who shaped the WorkFarce Header….

When College Friends Have Kids and you Learn to Recruit…
September 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment
You remember them from their hilarious, dumb moments. The stupid things they did when they were drunk. The stupid things they did when they were sober. The multiple times they cut class to catch “Pinky and the Brain.” The time they shoved Jim’s face into the industrial-sized jar of peanut butter. When you lived with your college roommates, you got to see and savor every minute of your closest friends’ stupidity. Then comes the call. Their wives have given birth. For better or for worse, they’re parents now. And, suddenly, you realize that you’re grateful that smart, fundamentally graceful people have decided to give our planet another generation.
Just is the same in recruiting. You may be a bastard. You may have no direction…however PLEASE understand that in the world of the “work” of JOBS/the jobs business, that you are changing, and in many respects, through your job creating new life.
You have the power through your works, words, abilities and stupidity, to give people a new life.
In the world we live in the “holy trinity” is Family, Faith and Vocation…make sure what you do can actually impact others. Otherwise, get the hell out of the way becausse while its not as easy as your college friend doing the sideways-mambo, I and other here in the recruitosphere are not trying to do anything other than to affect the process which actually GETS PEOPLE JOBS.
If you are doing otherwise, you are a drunken ego-maniac masturbator and should be sent to some corner of the internet to pontificate/prolifierate and…ahem procreate on your own…in turn, preach to the hoardes of retards that follow you on second life.
I LOVE YOU,

The U.S. Department of Labor today released its sixth annual report on the worst forms of child labor in 141 countries and territories that receive U.S. trade benefits.
“If carried out with the rule of law and civil standards in mind, free trade promotes respect for human rights, including the elimination of the worst forms of child labor,” said Charlotte M. Ponticelli, deputy undersecretary for the department’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB). “At a time when 211 million children work, it is important that America’s trading partners support open economies that generate healthful and safe workplaces promoting education and training over exploitive labor practices.”
ILAB prepared the department’s 2006 Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor under the child labor reporting requirement of the Trade and Development Act of 2000. The act requires trade-beneficiary countries and territories to implement their international commitments to eliminate the worst forms of child labor.
As defined by the International Labor Organization Convention 182, the worst forms of child labor include any form of slavery, such as forced or indentured child labor; the trafficking of children and the forced recruitment of children for use in armed conflict; child prostitution and pornography; the use of children for illicit activities such as drug trafficking; and work that is likely to harm the health, safety or morals of children.
This report presents information on the nature and extent of the worst forms of child labor in each of the 141 countries and territories and the efforts being made by their governments to eliminate these problems. The bureau’s Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking collected data from a wide variety of sources, including U.S. embassies and consulates, foreign governments, nongovernmental organizations and international agencies. In addition, bureau staff conducted field visits to some countries covered in the report.
The report is available at www.dol.gov/ILAB/media/reports/iclp/main.htm. Beginning in October, limited printed copies will be available from the Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking, Bureau of International Labor Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor, Room S-5307, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. 20210; phone: (202) 693-4843; fax: (202) 693-4830; e-mail: GlobalKids@dol.gov.

Bled my soul
September 18, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Yeah…so of all people I called up the RECRUITING ANIMAL tonight and poured my soul to him…of course he was attentive and kind, but with a tinge of tough love. His message was clear: when you come back, leave a mark but not a scar…
I Love animal…he will teach you more than you will ever know about recruiting…however, do NOT follow his life lessons as they are decadent and depraved…he will live long in the recruiting hall of fame (and as a person as well)…but will go to hell, asking all the while, “Why am I here…”
I LOVE YOU,
